STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS for COUNTED CROSS STITCH

1. Fold the fabric to find the center.

Counted cross stitch instructions 2. Seperate all strands of your floss and recombine three of them and thread the needle with your starting color.
Counted Cross Stitch instructions 3. Begin stitching at the center of the design. Push the needle up through the fabric, hold the loose end and pull the thread through the fabric. Secure the loose end with your fi rst few stitches.
Counted cross stitch instructions 4. Make one cross stitch for each symbol on the chart. Bring the needle up at 1, down at 2, up at 3 and down at 4. For horizontal rows, stitch all the way across, then work back. Finish off by weaving through the back of the stitches.
